The level of insights gets more detailed as time goes by and more activity is posted, however, you will eventually be able to see your demographic split, which times of day are most successful and much more. Add a contact button

A downside to Instagram for businesses is that there are limited places you can add a clickable link. The advantage of having a business Instagram profile is that you can have a contact button (or several). These buttons can include email, phone, or even a booking system. These buttons can be extremely valuable and help increase the number of leads generated from social media.

You can assign an industry

Assigning an industry is key. This information crosses over to your Facebook page once it is linked as well. Having the industry in a prominent position on your profile helps potential customers discover more about what your business does immediately and also helps people searching for your industry.

As a business account you will have the option to pay to boost certain posts. This will increase the reach of that post significantly and can be an important element of your social media strategy to gain new followers and custom.

For business accounts that have 10,000 or more followers, links can be added to their stories which can link directly to their website.
